In Valdez, Alaska there was an avalanche that blocked the highway to Valdez cutting off all travels to the population of 4,000. There was a shelter for people who evacuated their homes, but it is unknown on how many people could evacuate. There was a shelter made in the high school, and also at the teen center. They are supplied with food and fuel. but if they happen to run out, they can be supplied by barge.
This is crazy! No people being able to leave or come in would mess everyone's daily system up. It not only effects people's travels, but it will cost a lot to fix also.
