Pre-Prom Remembrance of "NeNe" After Being Shot

http://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2014/05/wouldve_been_her_prom_year_fam.html

Tonquinisha "NeNe" McKinley was a 17 year-old female who got shot in Saginaw by a stray bullet a few hours before prom in 2013. In remembrance of NeNe, her family and friends all gathered at NeNe's mother's home on May 22 before prom to give NeNe's mother the prom experience her and her daughter never got to have. A cousin of the family dressed like a "rockstar" with RIP on one shoe and NENE on the other, representing what NeNe wanted as her prom.

Prom is suppose to be a fun experience and something you won't ever forget. But it isn't suppose to be something that you are suppose to remember in a bad way. It puts people in shock knowing that this could happen. If it were me, I would be devastated and wouldn't want to go to prom. NeNe's family is strong for doing what they are doing, and doing things for her, even when she has past away.
